The building on Richmond Street
The casino sits at 615 Richmond St in Chatham, part of the municipality of Chatham-Kent. Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited runs it from day to day. In Ontario, OLG conducts and manages casino gaming, and the AGCO regulates the casinos. OLG lists this one among the casinos in its Southwest region.
Doors first opened on July 18, 2019, for a soft opening. The grand opening followed on August 8, 2019. It was a $36 million build on what Gateway called a former vacant lot. That made it Gateway's first casino built from the ground up, and the first Cascades casino in Ontario.
Before it, local slot play happened at the Dresden Slots at Dresden Raceway, which closed in July 2019. When the new building opened, the Dresden staff moved over to Chatham.

The doors open at 10 AM every day, and the slots run from that first minute. The floor and the slots close at 2 AM. All times are local Eastern time, so the 2 AM close falls early on the next calendar day.
Live tables keep their own clock. Friday to Sunday they run from noon to 2 AM. Monday to Thursday they are running by 4 PM and close at 2 AM. If you want a table between 3 and 4 PM on those days, call 226-296-0309 first. On a weekday morning, then, the slot machines are what runs on the floor until the tables start.

At the front door
- You must be 19 or older with valid government-issued photo ID to enter. Under Ontario law, no one under 19 may enter or stay in a casino.
- Guests aged 21 or younger also carry a secondary piece of name identification. Staff may ask for ID at any time during the visit.
- No outside food or drink is allowed, so finish your own coffee before you reach the door.
- Phones and other devices may not be used for recording, photography or calculating on the gaming floor.

Small things inside
Coffee, tea and fountain pop are complimentary, and those are the only free drinks. The casino also has bank machines (ABMs), currency exchange and lottery.
My Club Rewards is the casino's membership card, and it costs nothing. You get it at the Guest Services desk with valid ID, then earn points at slot machines and table games.
