A daytime visit with a set limit

The calculator turns the amount and hours you set into a pace per hour and a time to leave. Below it sit the help lines, starting with ConnexOntario, which answers at no cost, confidentially, 24/7.

Set the limit before you go

Your day, in your numbers

An amount and the hours you choose: the pace per hour and the time to leave.

Set your numbers above.

Divide the amount by the hours: that is the pace per hour. Add the hours to the time you start: that is when to leave. The casino closes at 2 am every day, and the last fixed-route Ride CK bus runs at 7:15 pm Monday to Saturday.

Before you leave home, settle two numbers: an amount you are ready to spend and a time to walk out the door. Treat that amount as the cost of a day out at Cascades Casino Chatham, like a cinema ticket or a tank of gas. Once it is spent, the day is done.

The calculator only does arithmetic on your own figures. It predicts nothing about any game or machine.

A weekday visit can also end with the fixed routes. Ride CK's fixed routes in Chatham run until 7:15 PM, Monday to Saturday, and after that only OnRequest trips run on weekday evenings. That last fixed-route bus can set your time to leave, so check the trip with Ride CK before you go. Short breaks help as well. The casino serves complimentary coffee, tea and fountain pop, and a cup away from the floor is a good moment to check the clock.

Breaks from online play

BetGuard, at betguard.ca, lets anyone 19 or older exclude themselves from every regulated Ontario online gambling site at once, OLG.ca included. Run by iGaming Ontario, it offers terms of 6 months, 1 year, 5 years or a custom length. It does not cover land-based casinos, so a break from the casino on Richmond Street needs My PlayBreak instead.
